The fact is, internet blogs and rags like International Living promote certain of those plans to gringos and expat wanabees saying they are just fine and virtually free (what a deal!). But the truth is they ain’t free and they can offer decent services one month and terrible service the next. Presently, they are sometimes used as marketing tools (and gringo bait).
