Descriptions- EXPAT FILES SHOW #1136 SUN, MAR 27 (03-27-22)
#1- Going “off the grid” in the age of ramping inflation and the inevitability of huge energy price increases:
Today we discuss the latest, greatest, simplest, easiest and most economical solar panel, battery and inverter setups. These are the systems I would choose for myself if I were installing a complete off grid system today. Going solar makes great sense right now, especially while the payback time (break even time) is so much shorter than it ever was. Not to mention there are fantastic DIY systems that can be assembled in just one day, by practically anyone with a toolbox and just average handyman skills.
#2- The strange history of Irish people in Latin America
Who knew there were so many thousands of “Irish” Mexicans?
#3- The continuing story of Johnny and Expat File show haters*:
People are always curious about my online haters. Every media person worth his salt has a cadre of them. Yes, the lame tactics of cancel culture vultures are out there. They're mostly comprised of sensitive snowflakes (woke-flakes) and unexceptional losers who are all for free speech and the 1st amendment - unless it collides with their own views. Today we provide some examples of Johnny's online haters.
*Important caveat: some sympathy is in order for those boring online trolls and failures who have been dealt a bad hand in life.
#4- Do you want to get into the exploding Crypto-currency world but don’t feel quite confident enough to dive in?
Our own Captain Mango has developed a unique one-on-one Crypto consulting and training service (he’s been deep into crypto since 2013). To get started, email him at:
