Things are different here in Latin America (that’s why so many of us are here). One can’t help notice that in many ways it’s like another world. Even upon arrival at the airport and especially if you fly in on a Latin based airline like TACA, COPA or AVIANCA you will see the differences. Though some Gringos and Expats do NOT always appreciate certain lax things about the culture and thus occasionally lose their cool... in public. Thankfully for most of us, the longer we live in Latin America the less uptight we feel about the annoyances and inefficiencies … for most of us that is.
